Travel advisors gave rave reviews to recent Tauck Academy training sessions held in Jordan and Alberta, Canada. The travel operator hosted two separate agent groups, including Australian advisors, to become Tauck Certified Advisors.
A group of 29 advisors from the US, UK, Canada and Australia attended the Alberta, Canada session in October with 37 agents at the Jordan training from 1–9 December.
The Tauck Academy programs combined intensive classroom instruction with firsthand opportunities to experience unique activities, cultural discoveries and hotels featured on Tauck’s land tours in those destinations.
In Jordan, attendees visited the Treasury at Petra on camels, explored the ancient Roman city of Jerash, and enjoyed an authentic outdoor dinner at a Bedouin camp.

During the Alberta program, the group enjoyed on-tour experiences including the scenic Icefields Parkway, learning about First Nations culture and history from a Cree Nation local and enjoying the Jasper SkyTram and Banff Gondola.
Tauck Vice President of Global Sales & Reservations Steve Spivak and other sales team members hosted the classroom sessions.
Topics covered include ‘the Tauck Difference’, product knowledge and effective sales techniques as well as sales and marketing resources available to advisors.
Aussie travel advisor Jenny Reeves from Phil Hoffman Travel attended the Jordan event. She said it was “very well organised”, noting “the content was well thought through”.
She also “loved meeting the other advisors and the Tauck staff as well as learning more about Tauck”.

The Tauck Academy in Jordan partnered with Visit Jordan, while Travel Alberta co-hosted the Alberta program.
Tauck has operated 32 Academy programs since 2013 with participating advisors chosen based on performance and other factors.
Graduates represent an elite group that comprises less than one per cent of all Tauck advisors. Plans are currently being finalised for the 2023 Tauck Academy programs.
