Travellers Choice bolsters national network with two new specialist agency members in Victoria

Travellers Choice has added two new Victorian member shareholders – Selah and Sports Travel Australia – to its retail network group, welcoming the highly specialised travel agencies to further expansion in 2025.

Travellers Choice has added two new Victorian member shareholders – Selah and Sports Travel Australia – to its retail network group, welcoming the highly specialised travel agencies to further expansion in 2025.

Both travel agencies have significant growth potential with their specialised offerings.

Established in 2006 to exclusively arrange travel services for Christian missionaries, Selah has since expanded to provide pilgrimage tours to Israel and Palestine.

Founder Lisa Tarzia said the agency was enjoying post-COVID growth until the current Israel-Hamas conflict forced it to look outside the Middle East.

“In response, we developed a range of travel itineraries that feature a spiritual overlay,” she said.

The pivot towards a broader range of spiritually infused leisure tours has opened up significant growth potential, sparking Tarzia’s decision to join Travellers Choice.

“I want to be part of a network that can support me as I grow, but which also sees me as more than just a number. Travellers Choice took the time to understand my business and it provides a level of personalised interaction that I haven’t experienced before,” she said.

Sports Travel Australia also joined the consortia this month, bringing its dedicated group tours for school-age athletes to compete in overseas cross-country and track-and-field events to the network.

Established in 2015, Karen Morham, an experienced sports coach and fitness professional and Sports Travel Australia employee, acquired the company in 2022 after the founder retired.

She plans to expand the focus beyond school sports to offer various traditional leisure products, including cruises and FIT itineraries.

“I’m moving beyond the specialist area that I know really well and I need to know I can call on business development and marketing support when I need it, especially given my grounding has not been in travel,” Morham said.

“It’s really about me wanting to deliver excellence in personalised customer service and that is exactly what Travellers Choice is all about.”

Travellers Choice recently added three new agencies to its consortia network in NSW and WA.
