Four Travellers Choice agencies recently joined forces to launch the inaugural Epic Travel Expo in Canberra, drawing over 3,500 visitors and 74 travel brands.
Jamison Travel, Travel Makers, Weston Cruise & Travel, and Queanbeyan City Travel & Cruise hosted the five-hour event at Coorong Pavilion, showcasing their collaborative spirit and marketing expertise.
The event exceeded expectations, building on the success of their 2018 Solo Traveller Expo, which attracted 800 attendees.
With ongoing enquiries and bookings, organisers are already planning the next Epic Travel Expo for September 2025, aiming to build on this year’s momentum.
“This time we thought we’d go big, and that was the key to our success,” Jamison Travel Director Michelle Everson said.
“By working together, we were able to share the costs, while pooling marketing dollars and taking advantage of all the various promotional channels we regularly participate in, including social media.”
Everson credits the expo’s success to Travellers Choice’s collaborative culture and support from the head office marketing team.
“The marketing team created everything from the expo’s eye-catching branding to an extensive suite of materials for use in our print and social media promotions. Frankly, they were amazing and we couldn’t have done it without them.”
Everson says the enquiries and bookings have prompted plans to hold the expo again in September 2025.
“We’re thinking we’ll go even bigger, and so are our supplier partners, who are already expressing a desire to invest even more resources into the event.”
