TravelManagers sets new monthly sales record up 47% in August 2022

TravelManagers has exceeded its monthly sales targets for three months with a record 47 per cent increase in the average value of sales per Personal Travel Manager (PTM) in August 2022 compared to the same month in 2019.

TravelManagers has exceeded its monthly sales targets for three months with a record 47 per cent increase in the average value of sales per Personal Travel Manager (PTM) in August 2022 compared to the same month in 2019.

The home-based travel brand smashed its targets in May, June and now August with strong sales and growth in cruise, touring and land products, continuing its robust post-pandemic recovery.

Executive General Manager Michael Gazal said August 2022 was TravelManagers’ best August for total sales and the ninth-highest recorded month ever.

“It’s the sort of recovery I think the entire industry was waiting for and I’m delighted to report our PTMs are as passionate about selling travel as ever,” he said.

“Destination-wise, we’re finding customers are interested in a variety of locations with Europe at the top at 33 per cent of sales, the US and Canada together accounted for 14 per cent of August sales and Asia another 11 per cent.”

Mr Gazal said Australia is the second-most-popular destination, accounting for 17 per cent of total monthly sales and a 70 per cent increase on August 2019, due to high-value domestic travel bookings.

“Three record-breaking months in quick succession mean the capacity for the rest of the year and into 2023 is already looking very tight for many destinations,” he said.

“We are advising customers considering their travel plans for next year to start booking to avoid disappointment as we expect growth in demand to continue.”
