Australian agency owner Georgina Finn, a prominent Sydney travel industry identity and Director of Celtic Travel Services for more than 30 years, has sadly passed away.

Australian agency owner Georgina Finn, a prominent Sydney travel industry identity and Director of Celtic Travel Services for more than 30 years, has sadly passed away.

Well-known by many in the travel industry, Finn established the award-winning Celtic Travel Services in Sydney’s CBD and was a valued member of the Travellers Choice independent agency network in Australia.

She came to Australia in the 1970s, working for Irish airline Aer Lingus in Sydney. When the airline closed its Australian operations in 1994, she opened Celtic Travel Services.

A passionate advocate for the travel industry, Finn was widely respected for her dedication, deep knowledge and unwavering support of both her clients and peers and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was not only a trusted travel professional, but also a proud and active member of the Irish community in Australia, where she built lasting relationships.

The Finn family and Travellers Choice have shared details of Georgina Finn’s funeral, which will take place in Sydney on 16 April 2025.

Colleagues and friends from across the industry are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects.

A funeral service will be held in her honour at St Patrick’s Church in the Rocks, Sydney at 1:30 pm and then at Morrison’s on the corner of George and Grosvenor streets in Sydney when the service is finished.
