Viking heads to 16 regions across Australia in November 2023 to connect with local travel advisors and clients seeking small cruise experiences.
Viking’s 2023 Regional Explorer Sessions Series has seen record attendance for 11 out of 16 events across Australia with more sessions announced for the rest of the month.
According to Viking, demand from agents and attendees has led to full capacity in some destinations, which has prompted it to schedule additional sessions during its visit to Australia.
The event series kicked off in Ballina, New South Wales and is reported to be popular with advisors and clients seeking information about upcoming river, ocean and expedition voyages.
Viking ANZ Manager Director Michelle Black said: “Agents can access exclusive offers for their clients who attend the sessions, encouraging bookings within 14 days of the event. It’s a great opportunity to build client relationships.”
“Our regional sessions are designed to support agents by enhancing and simplifying the booking process. We share information about ‘The Viking Way’ of exploration as well as provide travel inspiration by showcasing the destinations and immersive onshore excursions we offer,” she explained.
Guests and advisors attended information sessions across Bunbury, Bundaberg and Mornington earlier this week.
Additional 2023 Viking sessions announced in Australia
Viking announced more information sessions for Geelong, Gippsland, Sutherland Shire and Tamworth from 21 November. The final event will be held in Cairns on 30 November 2023.
The Viking Explorer Sessions run three times daily at 10:30am, 2pm and 6:30 pm.
Travel advisors and their clients can connect with Viking experts and previous travellers over morning tea or drinks and canapés.
Viking also has an agent incentive to join its regional Explorer Sessions and earn 800 Rewards by Viking points for each invited client in attendance.
Last month, Viking announced the arrival of 23 new ships to join its existing fleet of 92.
