Shore Leave
Held in April in Geraldton / Jambinu on the Coral Coast, Shore Leave is a multi-day event celebrating the Mid-West’s culture, food, and adventurous side.
Aside from markets, guided tours, and a chance to meet the region’s passionate artisanal producers, there’s also the fabulous Abrolhos Long Table Lunch, a distinctive seafood dining experience on Houtman Abrolhos Islands.
While you’re there, explore the town’s maritime history, snorkel the Abrolhos Islands, or take a scenic tour north to Kalbarri / Wurdimarlu with Kalbarri Scenic Flights.
Margaret River Pro

From 17 May, the Margaret River Region hosts the World Surf League’s annual Margaret River Pro. Over 10 thrilling days, the world’s top surfers compete on the renowned Main Break and The Box. Watch the live action from the event hub to amplify your experience.
While in the area, journey through more than 150 wine producers and 100 cellar doors, hike or mountain bike along forest trails that hug the stunning coastline and explore natural and cultural wonders like the Ngilgi and Mammoth Caves.
Ord Valley Muster

From 16 to 24 May, the Ord Valley Muster brings the East Kimberley to life, celebrating its unique culture and landscapes.
The diverse line-up of events – including live music, cultural performances, delicious food, and sporting challenges – offers an immersive way to connect to the local community and its traditions.
While in Kununurra / Goonoonoorrang, explore Western Australia’s most otherworldly natural phenomena including the Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park, and awe-inspiring Lake Argyle. Choose from remarkable stays at luxury historic homesteads, vast outback stations or camp out under galaxies.
Socceroos v Japan
Soccer fans will not want to miss catching our Socceroos playing Japan in a thrilling third-round World Cup qualifier match. It’s a crucial game to determine whether we make it to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Catch it live on 5 June at Optus Stadium.
Along with being Western Australia’s largest sports arena, Optus Stadium is also an exceptional place for thrill-seekers. Take a 90-minute 360-degree walk on the HALO Rooftop Climb or step out onto a platform high above the grounds with Vertigo.
NRL State of Origin

On 18 June, Australia’s greatest sports rivalries return to Perth / Boorloo for Game 2 of the State of Origin. Held at Optus Stadium, the New South Wales Blues take on Queensland’s Maroons for a high-quality match within this captivating NRL game series.
While you’re close to Optus Stadium, why not experience the Matagarup Zip+Climb? Take 314 steps up Matagarup Bridge, followed by a 400-metre zipline adventure from the bridge to the shore.
Taste Great Southern
Held annually in May, the rugged coastlines and towering treetops of Western Australia’s Great Southern plays host to four exquisite days of Taste Great Southern.
Wander with the wild and discover the rich regional traditions and take this exceptional opportunity to indulge in the finest food and wine the region has to offer. Plus, meet the artisans who bring these flavours to life.
British & Irish Lions v Western Force
Experience the international sporting talent and prowess as the British & Irish Lions compete against the Western Force, Perth’s beloved rugby union team. This rare match only happens in Australia once every 12 years and is on at Optus Stadium on 28 June.
Only 100 metres from Optus Stadium, the Camfield is Australia’s largest pub with 175 beers on tap, plus a microbrewery. There’s also Crown Perth, with first-class dining experiences like Nobu and Rockpool Bar & Grill, and casual dining alternatives.
Shinju Matsuri

Shinju Matsuri, ‘Festival of the Pearl’ is an immersive Broome / Rubibi experience, celebrating the town’s rich pearling history and multicultural community.
Running from 23 August to 7 September, enjoy a dynamic schedule of events such as art exhibitions, live performances, food markets, and the iconic Float Parade.
Take off your watch and slip into ‘Broome Time’ while there, where relaxation is mandatory. Witness the spectacular fiery colours of the famous sunsets along Cable Beach / Walmanyjun, or opt for something more thrilling such as a scenic flight over the Kimberley’s otherworldy landscapes.
Bledisloe Cup
The fiercely contested Bledisloe Cup match returns on 4 October at Optus Stadium, pitting Australia’s Wallabies and New Zealand’s All Blacks against each other for the ultimate Trans-Tasman battle. Highly anticipated by fans for its display of skill, rivalry, and national pride, this is not to be missed.
Pair’d Margaret River Region

Gourmands rejoice at the return of Pair’d, the Margaret River Region food, wine and music festival, on from 21 to 23 November.
