Wendy Wu Tours has joined Chimu Adventures, Qantas and Globus in supporting NSW farmers during the worst drought parts of Australia have experienced in years.
Staff at Wendy Wu Tours hosted a ‘Buy-a-Bale Chari-Tea’ event in the office where they brought in an array of ‘home-style’ goodies for morning tea and made personal donations.
Each donation was matched dollar-for-dollar by the company, creating a “result to be proud of”.
The money will be donated to Rural Aid, which will use it to provide farmers with hay, groceries and other forms of support during the tough period.
As part of the brand’s new Corporate Social Responsibility suite, this was one of the most successful initiatives in the operator’s history.
“For 24 years, Wendy Wu Tours has been supported by regional Australians, both guests and Travel Agents. We are honoured to be able to send our support, both from the team and from Wendy Wu Tours.”
Joe Karbo, Wendy Wu Tours Chief Executive
