The beauty of this part of the world is untouched, raw, and vast. Bordered by Ontario and Saskatchewan, Manitoba is the eighth largest province in Canada. Based on land mass alone, this place will give you a unique experience like no other.

HIKE THE MANTARIO TRAIL

Nature lovers be warned, if you love hiking 66km tracks and experiencing the true sights and sounds of the Canadian outback – then you may never want to go home. If you have a spare 3-5 days up your sleeve then taking a plunge into this wildly beautiful part of Manitoba is well worth it, even if you only head out there for a day.

From the south trailhead near Caddy Lake, day trippers cross rugged aspen, Jack pine, spruce-forested valleys, and the Whiteshell River by footbridge. We recommend leaving the ballet flats at home for this one girls, blisters on the first day will be a nightmare (but worth it)!

CLOSE & PERSONAL WITH BELUGA WHALES

If you thought National Geographic gave you up-close and personal shots of Beluga whales, then you have clearly never been to the western Hudson Bay coast. In summer approximately 50,000 social, curious and friendly Beluga whales visit the Churchill area to interact with guests and show off their beautiful nature.

Nowhere else on this earth gives you the same opportunity.  Explore the best of the best with an experienced tour guide to give you the unbelievable yet possible close encounter. Neat huh? Wildlife at its best in their natural habitat.

Polar Bears are so 2017, so if you’re living in 2018 – we call them Summer Bears. The difference is, these ‘Summer Bears’ can be seen frolicking among wildflowers and berry patches, living their best lives. The town of Churchill, part of Manitoba, is rightly named the Polar Bear capital of the world.

Although these beautiful creatures are easier to spot in the winter, they make a great tourist attraction in the summer. This part of the world is where the forest meats the tundra, making it one of the best places to see all kinds of wildlife.

EXPLORE GHOST SHIPS

The town of Churchill is the gift that keeps on giving. Playing host to the iconic ghost ship Ithaca, people from everywhere come to check out the ghostly remains which ran aground in 1960 when it’s rudder broke.

If you aren’t a scuba-diver, then this site is perfect for you. At low-tide you can venture as close as you like and take in the enormity of the ship. Make sure to keep a watchful eye on the tide as it comes in… or be prepared to start swimming!
