Imagine venturing deep into South Africa’s pristine Tsitsikamma Indigenous forest, all without working up a sweat. How? You ask. Well, hang up the hiking boots and book yourself in on a Segway tour.

These two-wheeled, self-balancing, battery-powered machines may look hard to master, but after a short lesson, it’ll feel like second nature cruising through the forest on one of these bad boys.

The awesome Tsitsikamma Segway tours leave from Stormsriver Village, along the famous Garden Route, bordering the Tsitsikamma National Park.

All tours start with a 15 to 20-minute training session to make sure you’re confident on the segway before exploring the forest.

Those who opt for the two-hour tour will get to go through the local township, under the N2 and along the foot of the Stormsriver mountain peak to the famous 1000-year-old Outeniqua Yellowwood tree.
