There are a number of differences between Switzerland and the rest of Europe, but aside from the obvious attractions, there are none more convenient than this…

Ever heard of the Swiss Travel Pass? It’s a ticket that gives travellers (and locals) access to ANY form of public transport across the country from buses to trains to ferries and yachts.

While the pass itself is convenient in getting travellers around the destination quickly and comfortably, Swiss Travel System recognised that not everyone wants to lug their baggage around on public transport.

So they came up with a solution…

door-to-door luggage transfer.

Oh, the Swiss and their incredible efficiency!

It’s the only public transport service in Europe to offer the service that sees an attendant pick up a traveller’s luggage from their doorstep and deliver it to the next hotel.

The door-to-door option is designed to make the holiday experience “as enjoyable as possible” for holidaymakers. That sounds pretty great to us!

Or, if you’re after a slightly more ‘hands on’ option, travellers can also take up the Express Luggage option, where they drop their bags off at the station before a certain time and pick them up at the end of the day.

And that’s not all! There’s also the introduction of pre-purchased Swiss Peak Pass Tickets. Previously travellers were required to wait until they arrived in Switzerland to book their Peak Passes, but now all partners in Australia and New Zealand have access to these tickets before clients travel.
