For the next few months we’ll be exploring Dubai’s diverse neighbourhoods, beginning with a deep dive into Downtown Dubai.
Other cities may have a “downtown” but Downtown Dubai is something more: a purpose-built neighbourhood which is home to some of Dubai’s most iconic attractions, including Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and The Dubai Fountain.
Located around 8km from Dubai Creek, which was the city’s traditional centre, Downtown Dubai has become a key cultural hub. Along with the malls and tourist sights, the area is also home to a growing number of residential and commercial projects, and is one of the most prestigious areas in Dubai.
