Adventure World now allows travellers to choose how they give back to the places they visit by customising their itineraries with bespoke MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences for memorable trips in destinations such as Vietnam, Morocco, Borneo and Canada.

Travellers can add experiences that create positive change for people and the planet through contributions to communities, wildlife and conservation efforts around the world.

Options include joining a First Nations-led Grizzly Bears of the Wild tour on Vancouver Island, learning to cook Moroccan cuisine at a social enterprise for women in Marrakech and contributing to plant preservation at Borneo’s Sepilok Rainforest Centre.

Exclusive to Adventure World is the new Animals Asia Tam Dao Bear Sanctuary educational experience in Vietnam where travellers can witness the rehabilitation of rescued Asiatic bears plus Authentic Custom Asia culinary itineraries launched last year.

Through parent company The Travel Corporation’s MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® initiative via the TreadRight Foundation, experiences are selected based on rigorous criteria aligned with the 11 UN Global Goals.

Adventure World Managing Director Neil Rodgers said these are just some of the many MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences available for guests to add to their itineraries.

“At Adventure World, we believe travel has the power to create positive change. Our MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experiences are carefully curated to align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), ensuring each trip contributes to a better future for the people, places and wildlife encountered.”
