Flight Centre has launched a new campaign called ‘There’s Nowhere We Haven’t Been‘ which will be rolled out across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada and South Africa and aims to showcase the power of its collective Captains of travel expertise.

The slick new-look campaign from the Flight Centre Limited flagship brand poses a tongue-in-cheek challenge to Australian travellers – can you test them on their worldly mad skills?

Created by Flight Centre’s in-house creative team, ‘There’s Nowhere We Haven’t Been‘ demonstrates that Flight Centre’s network of travel experts really have been everywhere, and have the knowledge to help their customers get there too.

The campaign is led by a 30-second TV ad that also unveils a huge moment in the brand’s history and evolution.

Notice anything different? Wait for it…

Wait. What?

But Tada! The good news is that there’s a new Captain PLUS the addition of a whole worldwide new army of diverse co-captains, ready to navigate a post-pandemic world of travel opportunities.

Indeed, Flight Centre’s new main Captain will now appear alongside a whole 1,800 strong crew of Flight Centre Australia experts sharing a total of 14,130 years of experience as co-captains.

All co-captains are male and female and who represent each country the brand operates in around the world, and the diverse backgrounds of its people.

And rather than employing an actor to fill the lead Captain role, Flight Centre’s very own Tom Walley has been chosen as the new lead Captain for the brand.

With 19 years working at Flight Centre in a variety of leadership roles, the brand says Mr Walley embodies this experience, as well as the brand’s irreverent internal culture needed for the new direction.

Mr Walley trained as a commercial pilot and qualified just before the GFC hit in 2009 then reinvented himself at Flight Centre. Like Tom, all of the other new co-captains are real-life Flight Centre employees.

The brand also has a new positioning tagline or mantra which is ‘Experience our experience’.

Flight Centre says that “Now more than ever is the time to use the skill, expertise and trust of a travel agent/advisor,

“The new Captains represent the pride that Flight Centre has in the diversity of its people and the countries that Flight Centre operates in globally.”
