BNE Careers Expo has released its first round of free tickets after thousands of interested applicants pre-registered online for the 10 September event with 2,000 positions available at Brisbane Airport across a range of roles and industries.

The ticketed event will be held at Skygate on Saturday 10 September 2022 from 9am to 2pm with 27 exhibitors already attending the BNE Careers Expo, including Airservices Australia, Qantas, plus companies recruiting for catering, security, cleaning, baggage, ground handling, retail, hotels, childcare and car rental roles.

Training and education providers will also be on hand to help people map out a pathway into the sector, including Aviation Australia and Griffith University.

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff said the number of roles available at BNE is expected to rise leading up to Brisbane hosting the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics.

“Across Brisbane Airport there are 2,000 positions available and we believe by the time the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympics come around we will have 10,000 extra people working across the precinct, so now is a good time to be thinking about a job at BNE,” he said.

BAC’s Executive General Manager of Human Resources Jane Dionysius said the BNE Careers Expo is an ideal opportunity to see the wide range of positions available at Brisbane Airport and meet with the companies that are employing right now.

“This is a fantastic chance to think about what a career at the airport could look like for you,” she said.
