Psst, let your Fiji-obsessed clients in on the news, Fiji Airways has just taken delivery of its first brand new, luxurious A350-900 XWB aircraft, and from next week it will be flying Aussies through to Fiji.
The aircraft will begin flying the Fijian carrier’s Sydney to Nadi route from December 1. Following this, the aircraft will rotate out on the Sydney and Los Angeles routes, with the second Airbus A350 XWB arriving mid-December 2019.
From January 1st 2020, the A350 will fly daily between Nadi and Sydney AND Nadi and Los Angeles.
The new plane which has been affectionately named ‘Island of Viti Levu’ touched down in Nadi on Saturday to a traditional Fijian welcome.
Fiji Airways Managing Director & CEO Andre Viljoen said they were extremely proud to welcome their first Airbus A350 XWB to their fleet.

The A350-900 cabin is among the quietest in the world, giving guests and crew an excellent inflight experience.
The Airbus A350-900 features 33 fully lie-flat beds in the business cabin and 301 economy seats that are among the most comfortable in the market.
The brand new economy cabin has allowed Fiji Airways zone within Economy class called “BULA SPACE”. The first few rows of economy allow guests to have extra legroom for additional comfort.
The Island of Viti Levu, along with the airline’s second A350-900 XWB are welcome additions to the fleet and will allow the airline to look at further expanding their network and long haul capabilities.
