Hilton to introduce new lifestyle micro-hotel brand for urban travellers to Australia in late 2027

Hilton will debut its new lifestyle micro-hotel brand in Australia with Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre slated to open in late 2027 on York Street – one of only 10 Motto by Hilton hotels worldwide with 23 more in the pipeline.

The social-centric 152-room hotel in Sydney’s CBD will feature the brand’s “motto” of “cleverly connected stays”, created with urban travellers in mind with compact design, communal spaces and locally inspired experiences.

These include the hotel lobby that doubles as a co-working space, or place to meet for coffee or cocktails, plus a rooftop bar with communal seating and local programming.

Guestrooms are similarly adaptable with 96 standard rooms, 14 bunk rooms, 14 flex rooms, eight accessible rooms and 20 suites, including 56 interconnecting rooms for families or small groups.

Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre will centre travellers close to The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay and Sydney Harbour and within walking distance of Barangaroo and the YCK Laneways precinct.

The entry of Motto by Hilton into the local market represents the hospitality group’s seventh brand in Australia with LXR Hotels & Resorts also arriving in 2027

Recent Motto by Hiton openings include Hong Kong SoHo, Nashville and New York City Times Square.

Hilton Asia Pacific Senior Vice President, Brand Management Tal Shefer said the Sydney property will build on the group’s strong lifestyle presence in the APAC region.
