Airline flying to four Aussie hubs drops international base fares by 100%

Vietjet is aiming to turn heads this summer by dropping its ‘Eco’ base fares by up to 100 per cent as part of the airline's biggest-ever one-week sale Down Under.

Vietjet is aiming to turn heads this summer by dropping its ‘Eco’ base fares by up to 100 per cent as part of the airline’s biggest-ever one-week sale Down Under.

The offer runs from 24 to 30 November 2025 and targets Aussies keen for a sharp-priced Vietnam escape.

Travellers from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth can lock in one-way fares to Ho Chi Minh City from just $199, including taxes and fees, by using a promo code online or via the Vietjet app.

The discounted fares apply to travel from 5 January to 27 May 2026.

The airline is adding a few sweeteners too. Direct Australia-Vietnam passengers will also receive 20kg checked baggage on Eco tickets for travel between 4 and 28 May 2026. Bookings made by 31 December 2025 also come with a complimentary 500MB eSIM, while stocks last.

Vietjet says the sale complements growing demand for its expanding Vietnam network, which links Aussie travellers to destinations such as Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc. Domestic fares start from around $105 and Business from $146 for travel until 31 January 2026.

The new sale goes 1% better than its September ‘9/9’ sale that slashed fares by up to 99 per cent.

And it won’t be going to Hanoi, after the carrier suspended its Sydney-Hanoi and Melbourne-Hanoi flights last month.
