Vietjet is offering an almost too-good-to-be-true 99%-off sale on fares to anywhere in its network for one day only. The budget airline will drop the sale on Monday, 9 September, so mark your calendar if you want rock-bottom fares to Vietnam or any of the carrier’s Asian ports.

The flights don’t include taxes and fees, but the discount still offers travellers an incredible opportunity to explore any number of Asian destinations for travel between 1 January and 22 May 2025.

And of course, the availability of discounted seats will vary depending on the route and dates.

The sale is in honour of the airline’s sponsorship of the Vietjet Redcliffe KiteFest in Brisbane, which returns to the Queensland capital on 14-15 September.

With over 30,000 visitors forecast, the carrier says the festival promises an “amazing display of kite artistry and diverse cultural performances”.

Vietjet Vice President Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh recently told Karryon the LCC plans to “soon” expand its Aussie network. While the airline hasn’t said what that expansion will look like, it has stated a desire to connect more Aussies to secondary Vietnamese ports like Da Nang (Hoi An), Nha Trang and even Ha Long Bay.

Vietjet currently flies seven routes in five different states in Australia.
