In a sign of returning confidence in the Australian market, Qatar Airways will restart its flights to Adelaide in mid-June 2026. The resumed Adelaide-Doha service will operate seasonally from 16 June to 14 September 2026, every day, utilising the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Flight QR915 will depart Adelaide at 10pm and arrive in Doha at 5am the next day. The return flight, QR914, will leave the Qatari capital at 8pm and land at the South Australian hub at 3.30pm the following day.

The Adelaide-Doha route was suspended shortly after the United States and Iran began hostilities in late February; other Australian routes were also grounded due to the war.
Its return forms part of an onward service to Auckland, New Zealand, which will recommence at the same time.
Comeback complete… nearly

Qatar Airways’ comeback in Adelaide is the next step in the airline’s return to full capacity Down Under.
Qatar’s national carrier, named the World’s Best Airline at the 2025 World Airline Awards, began April with three-times-weekly services from Melbourne and Perth, before resuming three-times-weekly services from Sydney on 10 April. Read more about its return to NSW here.
The oneworld member will resume flights to Brisbane on 16 May, with four flights per week.
After SA’s return, the Canberra-Doha is the only Aussie route yet to resume for the carrier.
While Qatar Airways resumes flights to Doha and onwards the Australian Government still advises Aussie travellers not to travel to Qatar. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) raised its advice to the highest level (“Do not travel”) on 28 February “due to the volatile security situation and military strikes”. Its warning applies to transit and layovers in Qatar.
KARRYON UNPACKS: Qatar’s return to Adelaide signals confidence, but also highlights how quickly capacity can shift. For Aussie travel pros, it’s a reminder that global events still shape route stability.
