Brisbane Airport hotels precinct will almost double its footprint with two new developments in the planning pipeline, bringing the total number of properties to five to meet demand ahead of hosting the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics.

One of the new architecturally designed Brisbane Airport hotels will be located adjacent to the International Terminal and a new multi-level carpark, while the other will be situated within the Skygate retail and entertainment precinct.

The proposed mid- to upper-level hotel will be the first to directly cater for the International Terminal at Brisbane Airport. The second mid-level hotel will be positioned next to DFO, the new Landers Pocket hub and specialty stores, including Queensland’s only 24/7 Woolworths supermarket.

Hotel operators are invited to submit proposals for management agreement opportunities for the two new Brisbane Airport hotels to JLL Hotels & Hospitality by 15 May 2026.

BNE already has three hotels within the airport precinct, which are consistently at capacity due to soaring demand for leisure, business and event-driven travel.

Brisbane Airport Executive General Manager Commercial Scott Norris said Brisbane links to more domestic destinations than anywhere else in Australia with hundreds of people transiting the Queensland hub nightly for intrastate and international routes.

“Brisbane Airport’s three current airport hotels are consistently at capacity, so there is no doubt there is demand for additional hotel rooms,” he said.

“Long-term, Brisbane requires thousands of new hotel rooms ahead of the 2032 Olympics, and so we’re highly confident the airport can support five hotels.

“Location is everything and it doesn’t get more connected than being at the front door of Queensland’s busiest gateway,” he said.
