Travellers will want to save their appetite for the airport once they see the tasty upgrades planned for Sydney Airport.

Travellers will want to save their appetite for the airport once they see the tasty upgrades planned for Sydney Airport.

The dining makeover is part of an overall plan to improve the traveller experience and will see the gateway receive at least seven new food and beverage venues as well as additional seating space to accommodate hungry flyers during peak hours.

Changes will see new fast food outlets added to the mixture plus a selection of fresh gourmet and street food options.

Airport Managing Director, Kerrie Mather, said domestic travellers will have access to increased value and choices.

She explained that activity in the food court will commence over the next few months but travellers will appreciate the ‘wider improvements’ once the upgrade is complete at the end of the year.

“This project will revitalise the food and beverage offering in T2, Australia’s busiest airport terminal, as well as adding capacity and enhancing wayfinding within a relaxed environment.”
