Meet Justin (didn’t catch his surname), he’s a Qantas ground services employee based at Sydney International Airport.
Yesterday morning he did what some of us wish we could do at work – Snapchat throughout the day.
He took over the airline’s recently launched account to give followers a behind the scenes look at his job and it was surprisingly interesting.
After a quick video intro, Justin showed us that working on the ground has it’s advantages like getting the best views for takeoff, like this…
And check out this double aircraft shot.
He also gets to see aircraft in a way we rarely ever get to, like this…
And this…
He gets to ride around in this sweet ride all day long:
While creatively trying to squeeze everyone’s luggage into these containers
Plus we watched on as Justin and his colleagues enjoyed a BBQ on Qantas!
But of course, the Snapchat takeover also proved he works incredible hard, with his first image posted before the break of dawn
And his last published after sun down
Every fortnight Qantas gives one of its employees access to the carrier’s Snapchat account as part of the ‘behind the scenes’ initiative.
Last fortnight we were taken on a tour by a Qantas pilot who showed us an aircraft cockpit and revealed a few facts like did you know the maximum take off weight is 397,000kg?
