Air New Zealand has two new videos that are guaranteed to grab eyeballs. The carrier has launched a new trans-Tasman campaign, using Aussie star power to entice Australians across the ditch, and its 23rd safety video, featuring a lineup of homegrown talent.
The new campaign aimed at the Australian market features Aussie actor Isla Fisher, deploying her trademark charm and humour to highlight Air NZ’s commitment to service and onboard experiences.
Somewhere over the Tasman follows a young Kiwi girl travelling solo across the ditch, who happens to sit next to the Hollywood star. The pair quickly become friends, sharing inflight snacks, watching movies and enjoying the famous Air New Zealand hospitality.
Fisher said: “As Australians, we spend a lot of time on flights when travelling, so we know the importance of inflight service and that’s why I love Air New Zealand.”
“I’ve flown from LA to Australia with Air New Zealand many times and I love the way the crew goes above and beyond to care for passengers. The iconic Kiwi hospitality always shines.
“I’ve been a longtime fan of the airline and I’m incredibly grateful to be fronting this campaign,” she said.
Air New Zealand operates more than 150 return flights weekly between Australia and New Zealand, connecting travellers to Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown and Christchurch. It also recently reinstated flights to Tasmania and introduced new fare options to Australia.
Game on for inflight safety

The Air New Zealand crew has also teamed up with NBA Houston Rockets basketball star and Kiwi icon Steven Adams for its latest and 23rd safety video.
Every Point Counts features a star-studded cast of Kiwi talent, including comedian Tom Sainsbury as both coach and referee, sports broadcaster Andrew Mulligan on commentary, TikTok star Theo Shakes as an audience member and a cameo from Adam’s sister and Olympic legend, Dame Valerie Adams.
In the video, a nod to NZ’s fastest-growing sport, Adams takes on a group of Kiwi kids in a friendly game with tension growing as it comes down to the wire on the court.
He said it was an honour to star in Air New Zealand’s safety video and he enjoyed the opportunity to do it alongside some very special whānau.

“It was awesome to be part of a project that involved young people and the community. It was fun to have Val in the video too. As a younger brother, at first, I was like ‘man get out of my video!’ but it’s cool to do a family collab – it was a special moment,” he said.
