Scrolling on Facebook, posting to Insta stories or catching up with mates on Whatsapp – whatever your flavour, you’ll be able to do it on Air New Zealand flights for free.
On the day Air New Zealand announced new non-stop services to Korea (missed it? click here), the carrier also confirmed it was offering free wi-fi on all enabled international aircraft.
You read right, for free!
The announcement follows the airline’s successful trial of free wi-fi over the recent summer period, during which guests were able to stay connected with friends and family throughout their flights.
Air New Zealand also recently revealed plans to improve its financial performance while also improving the customer experience by introducing slight changes over the next two years.
Among the adjustments include increasing frequency on the Auckland-Taipei service from November 2019 and the Auckland-Chicago service from December 2019 to meet demand. There’ll also be an amendment to timing on the Auckland-Hong Kong route to free up an aircraft from late October 2019.
The Kiwi carrier will defer aircraft delivery such as the A321NEO by one year and the A320NEO by two years, in order to ensure capacity reflects a slower demand growth environment.
Over the next two years, Air New Zealand will also elevate customer experience by introducing the enhanced Business Premier experience on long-haul aircraft by the end of 2019, launch a new, more spacious Economy product on international aircraft from mid-2020, and upgrade nine lounges across the network.
