Air New Zealand has joined the January sales rush, switching on discounted fares for Australians looking at near and long-haul trips. The sale covers trans-Tasman routes as well as North America via Auckland.
Lead-in economy sale fares feature major Australian gateways, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Cairns, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
Key New Zealand destinations include Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Queenstown.
Selected one-way economy fares across the Tasman are on sale until 11 January, with limited seats.
“New Zealand is close, familiar, and always delivers, whether it is food and wine, landscapes, ski trips or family holidays,” Air New Zealand General Manager Australia Kathryn O’Brien says.
“These fares make it even easier to pop over for a break that feels like a proper escape without the long flight.”
Separate sale periods apply for North America (7-20 January), with return fares available to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, New York and Vancouver.
Premium Economy and Business Premier options are also discounted on select services.
“With direct services across the Pacific and strong onward connections through our North American network, these fares are ideal for Australians planning big trips, whether it is a family holiday, visiting friends and relatives, or ticking off a bucket list destination,” says O’Brien.
