Want a career that’s really going places? Brisbane Airport has 2,000 jobs going across a massive range of disciplines from security and baggage handling to customer service, hospitality and airline roles at the BNE Careers Expo on 10 September.
The airport roles on offer are available across a wide range of industries and skills, including security, baggage handling, government agencies, airlines, customer service, engineering, corporate services, landscaping, bus drivers, hospitality and retail.
It’s a massive opportunity for jobseekers to get their foot in the door and work at a busy international and domestic airport.
Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) Chief Executive Officer Gert-Jan de Graaff said the range of positions includes professional services through to “start tomorrow” opportunities.
“The BNE Careers Expo is about opening up career opportunities for the future,” Mr de Graaff said.
“Currently there are around 24,000 people employed across 425 businesses at Brisbane Airport, which is forecast to grow to 60,000 workers by 2050.
“This is one of the most important job hubs in Queensland, so we need to get people thinking about this place as not only a gateway for a holiday but as a destination for a satisfying career.”
The BNE Careers Expo follows a similar Sydney Airport recruitment drive in June 2022 that advertised more than 5,000 jobs on offer.
BNE Careers Expo will be held on 10 September 2022 at the Brisbane Airport precinct and gives job candidates an opportunity to meet face to face with companies who need staff now.
“Aviation is back. And the jobs are here,” Mr de Graaff said. “The airport is a fascinating place to work – it’s a 24/7 operation so there are shifts around the clock to fit into the lifestyles of busy Queenslanders.”
