Boeing’s new 777X aircraft may not have hit the skies just yet, but that hasn’t stopped the aerospace giant from unveiling a luxury VIP business jet model of the flashy new widebody plane.
The VIP ride which launched at the recent Middle East Business Aviation Association Show in Dubai can fly half-way around the world, between virtually any two cities.
Billed as the ultimate private jet, it can be finished to suit the tastes of any customer.
Interior concepts from private jet design firms gave plenty of food for thought from oversized lounges and gorgeous dining rooms to luxury bathrooms and bedrooms.
“Our most exclusive customers want to travel with the best space and comfort and fly directly to their destination.”
Head of Boeing Business Jets, Greg Laxton
“The new BBJ 777X will be able to do this like no other airplane before it, redefining ultra-long-range VIP travel,” he said.
Boeing is currently building the first 777X for test flights at its factory in Everett, and the first passenger airline jet delivery won’t happen until 2020.
Private jet setters will have the choice between two versions of the BBJ 777X: the BBJ 777-9, capable of flying 20,730km and the BBJ 777-8 which will extend the range to an impressive 21, 570km.
