Bonza teamed up with Aussie travel tech startup Awai to offer Bonza Holidays – packages that include flights, stays, insurance, car hire, activities and more. Bonza Holidays will be available in all 21 destinations on the airline’s network in a phased approach.
Fully integrated into the app and delivered by Awai, Bonza Holidays are now available to book.
Initial packages with flights, accommodation and optional travel insurance are bookable via the app with real-time pricing and AI-driven responsiveness.
Bonza’s new offering will include a 23kg checked bag, 8kg hand luggage and seat selection included in every package.
It will also offer a price-match guarantee and refund the difference if a customer finds the same holiday cheaper elsewhere within 24 hours of booking.
Phase two of the tailored package holidays will launch in 2024 and also include car hire, activities, attractions and tours.
An economic boost for regional destinations
Bonza Holidays expects to add a massive economic boost across all network destinations. The low-cost carrier recently announced the addition of Darwin, Alice Springs and Launceston to its route map.
CCO Carly Povey said the launch is part of the airline’s long-term strategy to provide value across the travel experience.
“Bonza Holidays has always been part of our broader vision and follows best practices of low-cost carriers internationally,” she said.
“We’ll add more choices for where to stay in all 21 destinations and next year, we’ll call on attractions and tour operators to package their experiences.
“The second phase will also include car hire, which encourages regional dispersal.
“Every single destination on Bonza’s route map will be included as we continue our mission of making it easier for Aussies to explore more of their own backyard without it costing a packet. By doing so, we will bring more economic benefit to the regions we fly to,” she said.
