British Airways has unveiled a refreshed lounge at Changi Airport’s Terminal 1, blending British elegance with Singaporean influences. Designed to cater to the modern traveller, the upgraded space offers seating for up to 226 guests and a mix of dining, rest, and work areas.
The standout feature of the revamped lounge is likely Concorde Dining, an exclusive area for British Airways First and Club World passengers, as well as eligible loyalty members. Formerly The Bar, this dedicated dining space now offers table service with a menu that combines British favourites and locally inspired dishes.
Diners can choose from herb-crusted beef tenderloin or sticky toffee pudding alongside cashew satay chicken or Lion Mane mushroom curry. Premium Champagnes, including Bollinger and Joseph Perrier, are also available, with staff specially trained to deliver attentive food and wine service.

A lounge designed for comfort and connection
The lounge’s redesign aims to balance comfort and functionality. Key features include:
- Privacy and relaxation: Individual pods and dedicated rest areas create quiet spots to recharge between flights.
- British design meets local culture: Bespoke furniture by Boss Design and curated artwork by Singapore-based artist Louise Hill bring a blend of British heritage and Singaporean vibrancy to the interiors.
- Spaces for productivity: Office areas equipped with ample workspaces and power outlets cater to travellers needing to stay connected.

Part of a £7bn transformation
The Singapore lounge refresh is part of British Airways’ wider £7bn (AUD 13.9bn) investment program aimed at enhancing the travel experience. This includes new cabin interiors, updated lounges in London, Washington, and Lagos, and improvements to the airline’s website and app.
Next on the list of lounge upgrades is Seattle, with more locations to follow.
“The best possible experience”
Calum Laming, British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, said, “We want to ensure our customers enjoy the best possible experience, both on the ground and in the air.”
“Our refreshed lounge in Singapore embodies our dedication to innovation and comfort, and we hope our guests will appreciate the elevated surroundings and the exceptional service of our wonderful colleagues as they relax before their journey.”
This is the first of many more exciting changes to come to our lounges this year.”

Who can access the lounge?
The lounge is open to British Airways First and Club World passengers, Executive Club Gold and Silver members, and oneworld frequent flyers with Emerald or Sapphire status. The Concorde Dining area is reserved exclusively for eligible travellers.
