Cathay Pacific Airways is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Australia and saying ‘Thank You’ to its passengers with cakes, surprise upgrades, inflight gift vouchers and competitions.
The celebrations started earlier this week at Sydney Airport and Cathay Pacific even surprised randomly selected passengers with Business Class and Premium Economy upgrades. The airline is also giving away inflight shopping vouchers and the chance to win a stylish Hong Kong holiday, flying Premium Economy and staying at legendary hotel The Peninsula Hong Kong.
Cathay Pacific passengers travelling from Sydney on the day were also greeted with festively decorated check-in counters and special cupcakes that were handed out by the airline’s airport staff. Some lucky passengers were also upgraded, either to Business Class or Premium Economy. Once on board, the captain made a special announcement and passengers read about their meals for the flight ahead on 40th anniversary themed menus.
Competitions and Gift Cards
