LIKE FIRST CLASS: The airline with the 'Best Premium Economy' is... Air NZ

Okay so maybe it's not EXACTLY like First Class but it does have added touches of comfort that make it the best Premium Economy in the industry and it belongs to Air New Zealand.

The Kiwi carrier won ‘Best Premium Economy’ for a second consecutive year, at this year’s Skytrax awards.

Air New Zealand topped hundreds of other carriers in the category, with the majority of some 20 million people saying it’s the best they’ve ever experienced.

For those who haven’t experienced it yet, Air New Zealand’s Premium Economy can be found in the airline’s fleet of B777 and B787. The Premium Economy ticket comes with more personal inflight space for guests, luxury leather seats, modern inflight cuisine, two priority checked bags (up to 23kg each) and two carry-on bags.

It’s a good thing flyers love it so much because last year, Air New Zealand made the jaw-dropping decision to replace its popular Spaceseats across all 777s with the new Premium Economy class.

Overall Air New Zealand was ranked 17th Best Airline in the World, just behind it’s newest trans-Tasman partner, Qantas (11).

Leading the way in aviation this year is Singapore Airlines, which was named ‘World’s Best Airline‘ followed by Qatar Airways that was recognised as being the second best airline in the world as well as the airline with the ‘Best Business Class‘.
