COMING TO AUS: Etihad's new lounge concept that Economy flyers can access

Flyers from ALL classes will be able to relax in contemporary sophistication when Etihad brings 'The House', a new lounge-style concept, to Australia.

Flyers from ALL classes will be able to relax in contemporary sophistication when Etihad brings ‘The House‘, a new lounge-style concept, to Australia.

Sydney and Melbourne Airports will be the first gateways outside of Abu Dhabi to receive Etihad’s new lounge concept called ‘The House’, which launched earlier this month with No1 Lounges.

Etihad passengers and Virgin Australia guests flying out of Sydney will have access to the space from 23 October, while the upgraded lounge experience will arrive at Melbourne Airport on 27 October.

Setting itself apart from Etihad’s current lounges, The House is described as a “stylish and contemporary” experience where flyers can expect “sophistication, privacy with attentiveness and tranquility with engagement”.

What this means is, The House has a greater focus on customer service, wellbeing and local produce, dishes are freshly prepared, it has an extensive cocktail and mocktail list, as well as a selection of great wines.

Over the next year, Etihad’s lounges in Sydney and Melbourne will also be refurbished to include reading rooms, and The House in Sydney will have a private room for VIP guests, including those flying in The Residence.

The best part of The House is that it’s open to everyone, including Economy flyers who can pay for access.

Etihad’s Vice President of Guest Experience and Delivery, Linda Celestino, said the aim of The House is to ensure guests “feel at home” by upgrading “the ambiance, the design, the food and beverage offering”.
