Earn Qantas points while you sweat

Qantas' frequent flyers will have two rewarding reasons to hit the gym - burn off the fat and earn airline loyalty points.

Qantas’ frequent flyers will have two rewarding reasons to hit the gym – burn off the fat and earn airline loyalty points.

The Flying Kangaroo signed up its first health brand, Snap Fitness, this week to give members the chance to earn points on the treadmill.

Snap Fitness members will receive 100 Qantas Points each month plus new Snap Fitness members will receive 3,500 bonus points when signing up for a 12 month membership or 1,000 bonus points for new month-to-month plans.

Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant said signing up the loyalty program’s first gym is ‘exciting’.

“If our members like to keep fit, they may as well work-out at a Snap Fitness gym because by doing so their points balance will also get a healthy kick along each month.”

Snap Fitness CEO Andy Peat added that the health brand wants its members to feel ‘more special’ about being part of the Snap community.

“I think that being associated with Qantas Frequent Flyer absolutely gives us a competitive edge when you consider the high value that Australians place on collecting Qantas Points – and why wouldn’t they?” Peat said.

“We are all about rewarding fitness and we can do that by giving our members something really valuable to them, and that’s Qantas Points,” Mr Peat said.
