Emirates' in-flight entertainment screens will be the largest on any aircraft

In a continuing quest to push boundaries in aviation, Emirates' newly delivered Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER will feature the largest in-flight entertainment screens available on any aircraft, and three times the storage capacity.

In a continuing quest to push boundaries in aviation, Emirates’ newly delivered Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER will feature the largest in-flight entertainment screens available on any aircraft, and three times the storage capacity.

Emirates’ next generation in-flight entertainment (IFE) system reaffirms the airline’s committment to enhancing the onboard experience for its guests. The new screens will feature in both Economy, Business and First Class. In Economy Class screens will measure 13.3 inches, whilst in Business and First Class, screen dimensions will measure 23 inches wide and 32 inches, respectively.

The new entertainment systems, with three times the storage, will also offer passengers an even greater choice of content than ever before. For example, passengers now have access to 2,186 channels of on-demand entertainment and 1,230 music channels, plus 50 full TV box sets and close to 600 movies. Reflecting Emirates’ global and diverse customer base, the enhanced system also features a multilingual interface in 14 languages.

Emirates’ next generation IFE system is also complemented with connectivity on board. The airline offers Wi-Fi on 142 aircraft, more than half of its fleet, and Live TV now on 75 aircraft. From January to September this year, 2.6 million Emirates passengers connected to Wi-Fi on board – a four-fold increase from last year, reflecting the strong consumer demand for connectivity services while travelling.
