Virgin Australia announced a range of Christmas themed treats will be introduced in the airline’s domestic lounges and on board to mark the start of the festive season.
Designed by the airline’s internationally acclaimed resident chef Luke Mangan, Christmas Puddings will be served today in the domestic lounge in Sydney, and in Melbourne, and Brisbane in coming weeks. The specially designed puddings have been created using vine fruits, aromatic spices and a generous dose of brandy and stout.
In the week leading up to Christmas, Virgin Australia will also offer Business Class guests mince pies on board selected flights and Christmas lunch with all the trimmings on 25 December.
Virgin Australia resident chef Luke Mangan said the Christmas period presents the airline with an opportunity to offer unique treats and to roll out pop up food options.
Key dates:
· Christmas Puddings will be served in the Sydney lounge on 5 December, in Melbourne on 10 December and in Brisbane on 19 December.
· Mince Pies will be served in Business Class domestically and on short-haul international routes between 17-25 December.
· Mince Pies will be served in Economy on triangle routes (including Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne) on 25 December
