Fiji Airways launches direct flights between Nadi, Fiji and Noumea, New Caledonia today, connecting the two South Pacific nations. For Aussies, this means a new way to fly to New Caledonia with a bonus stopover in Nadi for an island-hopping holiday.

Aussies can now book flights to New Caledonia via Nadi two times a week from AUD$1,168 on a Lite return ticket, using Fiji as a stopover destination.

The award-winning national carrier will operate twice-weekly services every Monday and Thursday between Nadi and Noumea with flights timed to allow travellers to connect to destinations in North America and beyond.

With the inclusion of flights between Nadi International Airport and La Tontouta International Airport in Noumea, FJ now services 26 international destinations.

FJ Managing Director & CEO Andre Viljoen said New Caledonia has great potential, especially for transit passengers.

“I’m delighted to welcome New Caledonia to the growing list of international destinations that Fiji Airways serves out of our hub in Nadi,” he said.

“There is a growing demand for connectivity across the Pacific and indeed the world, and we stand ready to fill this need when and where possible.”

Fiji Airways also commenced Canberra-Nadi and direct Melbourne-Nadi flights this year along with teasing additional APAC routes.
