Fly like a dictator - inside Kim Jong-Un's private jet

While the rest of North Korea is expected to fly in aircraft still stuck in the 60s, dictator Kim Jong-Un is taking off in high-end luxury.

While the rest of North Korea is expected to fly in aircraft still stuck in the 60s, dictator Kim Jong-Un is taking off in high-end luxury.

Images of his personal plane were released this week, less than two months after he shared a video of himself flying a plane (above).

According to the Daily Mail, his plane dates back to 1963, when it was originally owned by the Soviet Union.

In its day, it was the largest jet airline in the world but now reportedly would only sell for around $127,650.

The Soviet Ilyushin IL-62 now dubbed ‘Air Force Un’ is 174 feet long and while it is capable of seating around 200 passengers, only flies with the dictator and his trusted accomplices.

Photos released by Korean Central News Agency show the dictator enjoying the view from his personal aircraft.

While another image shows Kim and staff talking over a crystal ashtray.

The photos were released just in time for the anniversary of his father’s – Kim Jong-Il – birth date on 16 February.

Speaking of flying in North Korea, the country’s national airline, Air Koryo, was named the world’s worst for the fourth consecutive year.
