We know what we’ll be watching next time we fly with Qantas – not to mention finally finding out what happened in that final episode of Game of Thrones!
Qantas is bringing the hit show along with Sex and the City, The Sopranos, Entourage and so many more HBO favourites to the skies as part of a new agreement with the US network.
Signed today, the agreement will see the airline offer 120 hours of HBO drama, comedy and documentary content for customers flying across the entire Qantas network.
Each month, the channel will be updated with 20 hours of new shows and movies.
This means, travellers (like us) can hold off watching the Game of Thrones season five finale until they’re flying Qantas to New Zealand or the US or South America – you get the picture.
But that’s not all. The agreement coincides with the addition of three new Foxtel channels, bringing an additional 160 hours of shows and movies each month.
These channels include Entertainment by Foxtel, which offers shows like Australia’s Next Top Model, Real Housewives of Melbourne and Aussie Pickers.
There’s also the National Geographic Channel featuring Animals Gone Wild and Cabin Fever; and Lifestyle by Foxtel offering River Cottage Australia, Grand Designs Australia and Selling Houses Australia.
Qantas Head of Digital and Entertainment, Jo Boundy, said the airline is working hard to deliver the best of home entertainment in the sky.
He explained that a number of customers looking forward to ‘uninterrupted viewing’ when flying and for many it’s a time to catch up on their favourite shows.
