Hawaiian Airlines will repeat its seasonal nonstop service between New Zealand and Hawaiʻi from 18 November 2025, linking Auckland and Honolulu directly with thrice-weekly services and catering to strong demand among Kiwi travellers.
The full-service US airline has confirmed the start date for its 2025-26 season as the current period will pause as planned on 30 April 2025 before resuming on 18 November.
Hawaiian Airlines has seen significant growth among New Zealanders keen to holiday in Hawaiʻi and connect to the US mainland via one stop in Honolulu.
Likewise, the carrier reports an uptake in interest for New Zealand among US travellers, particularly from the Pacific Northwest states, following Hawaiian’s acquisition by Alaska Air Group last year.
As part of the Alaska Air Group, Hawaiian provides Kiwi and Aussie travellers with access to three times as many US destinations via seamless, one-stop connections in Honolulu to Alaska Airlines‘ extensive domestic network.
Hawaiian also operates five times weekly direct flights between Sydney and Honolulu.
Hawaiian Airlines Country Director Russell Williss said the return of NZ seasonal services for 2025-26 highlights the carrier’s commitment to serving the Oceania region.
“Kiwis have continued to take advantage of our convenient nonstop flights to and from Auckland, choosing Hawaiian Airlines as their carrier of choice for summer, Christmas and school holidays getaways in Hawaiʻi and the US mainland,” he said.
“We have also welcomed significant growth in travellers originating from the US mainland – especially the Pacific Northwest – following our combination with Alaska Airlines.
“At the same time, Kiwis can now access over 100 US destinations through our expanded joint network.”
Hawaiian will operate the route with 278-seat, wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft featuring 18 Premium Cabin lie-flat leather seats, 68 Extra Comfort seats and 192 Main Cabin seats. Guests also enjoy free high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi on all A330 aircraft.
