Hawaiian Airlines has shared its new schedule, increasing Sydney–Honolulu services from five per week to daily flights from 18 December 2025 – 31 January 2026 to coincide with the busy travel season between the two holiday hotspots.
The seasonal flights and increased services are a response to strong seasonal demand for travel between Honolulu and Sydney during the winter/summer seasons in each respective hemisphere.
Hawaiian Airlines offers economy and premium seating from Sydney and also introduced complimentary high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi on its Airbus A330 fleet last year.

The full-service airline also plans to operate its newest flagship aircraft, the Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner, on the Honolulu-Sydney route – the carrier’s longest – in the future.
Hawaiian also recently announced its seasonal nonstop service between New Zealand and Hawaiʻi would start again from 18 November 2025, linking Auckland and Honolulu directly with thrice-weekly services.
Alaska Airlines acquired Hawaiian Airlines in 2024 as HA also marked 20 years of flying to Australia last year.

Alaska Airlines Vice President Revenue Management & Network Planning Kirsten Amrine said: “We’re excited to offer our guests more options to connect with loved ones or enjoy a warm winter getaway.”
“These schedule enhancements reflect our commitment to providing convenient, comfortable travel during the busiest travel period of the year.”
