Vietjet flies from Adelaide and Perth to Vietnam for the first time with its inaugural Ho Chi Minh City flights on 22 November 2023, making the low-cost carrier the first Vietnamese airline to connect South Australia and Western Australia to the Asian nation.

This historic milestone marks the start of five weekly return flights between the two cities with direct services between Perth and HCMC and a layover in Perth on the Adelaide-HCMC route.

Vietjet’s expansion into Adelaide and Perth will more than double the carrier’s weekly flights to Australia to 58 a week from December 2023.

Less than a year after entering the market in April 2023, the airline now flies to five key Australian cities: Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
