Hold up! Ryanair is not flying to the US

Days after the Internet (almost broke) went crazy for cheap Ryanair fares to the US, the budget airline has done a u-turn saying it was all fake.

Days after the Internet (almost broke) went crazy for cheap Ryanair fares to the US, the budget airline has done a u-turn saying it was all fake.

Last week, the low-cost carrier is said to have revealed that its board had approved transatlantic flights that would see passengers paying as little as £10 or $19 one-way

The alleged agreement would last for five years and operate from 12 to 14 European cities to the same number of US cities.

Among the European bases would have included Dublin, London Stansted, Cologne and Berlin. Plus in the United States, they were looking at New York, Boston and Washington.

The airline has even said it was talking to manufacturers about buying long-haul aircraft.

However, over the weekend Ryanair denied the plan was ever approved and released a statement saying:

“In the light of recent press coverage, the board of Ryanair Holdings Plc wishes to clarify that it has not considered or approved any transatlantic project and does not intend to do so.”

Ryanair statement.

Awwwwwwwww.

To those that are truly devastated by the news, the Daily Mail is reporting that the airline is allegedly still exploring to possibility of transatlantic services – but through a new subsidiary.

The website says the budget airline is looking to launch a new low-cost carrier that would specifically fly from Europe to America.

We’ll just have to wait and see.

Last month, Ryanair made headlines after a photo went viral of a male’s genitalia drawn into snow by the airline’s airport workers.

The budget carrier, had the best response to the controversial drawing, saying: ‘they’re not the best artists’.

The image was shared on all social platforms this week, with many dubbing it the coolest snow art ever.

Although Ryanair may not have agreed with its cool status, the airline certainly didn’t seem bother by the ‘controversial’ image.
