Hot meals are back on the menu on Qantas domestic flights

Qantas has upgraded its domestic economy meal to include hot items for those flying for more than two hours.

Qantas has upgraded its domestic economy meal to include hot items for those flying for more than two hours.

The menu changes come in response to customer feedback and the airline says they “form part of the Flying Kangaroo’s ongoing investment in customer experience improvements”.

Qantas Executive Manager of Produce and Service, Phil Capps says, “These hot menu items have been created using quality Australian ingredients and we’re pleased to be rolling out a wider range of choice for customers travelling across our domestic network”.

Expect ‘Yummy Karma’ scrambled egg brioche with tomato relish, Handmade Food Co. ciabatta roll with Portuguese chicken and mango lime jam, Sunny Queen carrot and pumpkin fritters, and Simmone Logue artisanal beef sausage rolls.

You can also grab a cuppa for longer in an extended tea and coffee service, which is now available until 4pm.

Weis ice cream bars will also be offered for domestic flights over three and a half hours, such as Sydney to Perth.

The menu will appear in the coming weeks.
