Just when you thought Business Class couldn’t get any better with its lie-flat beds, on-demand food and personal pods, in comes Qatar Airways with the QSuite.
The Middle Eastern carrier on a mission to become the world’s best airline, unveiled its new Business Class product, which won’t just appeal to solo travellers (who can afford Business Class), but for those flying in pairs or even groups.
Described as “your sanctuary in the sky”, the QSuite initially appears to be much like your common (although there’s nothing common about Business) Business Class.
It has lie-flat beds, plenty of rooms, little pocket holes to stow away your personal items, ambient lighting…

… and let’s not forget that Qatar Airways service.
But look a little closer and you’ll notice the cabin is quite different from others or as the company’s Chief Executive puts it, it’s “really raising the bar of air travel”.
First, let’s talk about the space for each seat, which isn’t just generous, it’s the most you’ll receive in the class across any airline.
Then there’s full privacy thanks to a door that completely shuts. Feels like you’re in your own little hotel room.
For those wanting to nod off, there’s even a ‘do not disturb sign’ that’ll notify hostesses when you’re willing and unwilling to be disturbed.
Of course, there’s a turn-down service will pillows, a quilted mattress and pyjama suits designed by the White Company.
But couples that can’t keep apart for a few hours (or parents with kids who aren’t comfortable sleeping alone), this ones for you – seats can be combined so that they turn into double beds.

Don’t get any ideas about joining the mile high club because there’s a politely placed ‘quiet please’ sign to remind all duos to not disturb others with any inflight ‘activity’.
That’s not all.
The seat dividers open apart to create a quadrant where families can dine together or business travellers can host a corporate meeting in the sky.
As an added bonus, there’s a special platters for families that are in addition to the signature 5-star courses Qatar provides for dining on demand.
