Those airline Business Class lounges are special aren’t they? They’re quiet, spacious, they’ve got USB and electrical ports, cocktails and sometimes there’s even a massage waiting for you.
They’re the ideal way to patiently wait for your flight to board and also, it’s nice knowing you’re part of something exclusive that only those with the cash or the regular flying credit can access.
Yeah, it’s a good feeling until you find out there’s an even more exclusive zone reserved for the likes of celebrities and politicians.
Unlike Business Class lounges, access to this special area requires more than just money or regular flying points – it needs approval from the airline bosses or in this case approval from Virgin Australia’s head honcho John Borghetti.
Fancy right?
Virgin Australia’s exclusive zone is called ‘The Club’ and according to the Daily Mail, it is discreetly located at major airports around Australia.
Once distinguished guests receive the nod of approval from Borghetti, they can skip airport queues and head straight to ‘The Club’ where they have access to a large entertainment area, pampering services as well as an “extravagant” menu.

Airline staff are also required to escort guests to their flight and cater to their every need (within reason of course).
The online news outlet reported that ‘The Club’ has managed to remain a secret because it’s mostly for high profile business executives.
While ‘The Club’ does sound amazing, we’d miss the feeling of being surrounded by like-minded travellers who are equally as excited to take on the world.
