Jetstar Group CEO Stephanie Tully said the inaugural flight is an exciting moment for the airline and the region.

“We’re thrilled to see our first NTL-DPS service take off today, giving travellers in the Hunter region a direct, low-fares link to one of Australia’s favourite holiday destinations,” she said.

With a direct flight time of just six hours, the new service makes it easier for those in the Hunter Region to experience the island’s famous beaches and even travel beyond to other destinations in less time.
