Commencing 1 December, Vietnam Airlines will send its first Dreamliner to Australia, moving the aircraft to both its Melbourne and Sydney routes.

The plane will fly daily between Ho Chi Minh and the two cities offering three classes of service, Business, Economy Deluxe and Economy.

Vietnam Airlines’ business cabin consists of 27 fully-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration with premium economy serving 35 passengers with a 2-3-2 configuration and 221 seats in economy of 3-3-3 configuration. Flights are now loaded in the GDS.

The Dreamliner also has many enhanced features including wi-fi, socket and in-seat USB port, lower cabin pressure and optimal humidity, touch screen and a wider range of entertainment along with many other features.

With the change in aircraft, passengers will be able to connect right through to Paris, London and Frankfurt flying on either a Boeing 787 dreamliner or Airbus A350.

Meanwhile, Air New Zealand revealed the aircraft will operate its seasonal Christchurch-Perth service.

Commencing on 9 December this year to 29 April 2017, the aircraft will boost the number of seats available on the route across the season by around 30 percent and give travellers access to the airline’s Economy Skycouch™ seat.

“We’re looking forward to now offering this fantastic flying experience on the Christchurch – Perth route.

“These mid-haul routes are perfect for experiencing the aircraft’s improved cabin environment including higher humidity and lower cabin altitude which help passengers arrive at the destinations feeling more refreshed.

“The move also means that South Island customers heading to Perth will be able to enjoy our award-winning inflight products including the innovative Economy Skycouch™, comfy Premium Economy seating or lie-flat Business Premier beds.”

Air New Zealand customers are able to book on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service between Christchurch and Perth from today for travel from 9 December 2016.
