Delta is modernising their LAX airport experience

The Delta experiences keep on giving! When travelling through Los Angeles, Delta, LAX’s largest global and leading carrier, has long been committed to modernising and upgrading the airport experience for West Coast customers. With a new centralised check-in lobby and expanded security checkpoint and baggage claim area, travellers gain a more seamless and efficient LAX experience.

Delta Sky Way is also underway at LAX. Once complete (in 2023), Terminals 2 and 3 will be a consolidated, 1.2 million-square-feet, state-of-the-art, 27-gate complex, providing an easy-to-navigate customer journey.

Plus, Delta Sky Way will connect Terminals 2 and 3 to the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B), enabling quick airside connections. Yay.

On a mission

Delta’s new artisan-made amenity kits by Someone Somewhere

Delta’s not only delivering Santa-like gifts this December. They’re on a mission to drive social impact by introducing new products on board that support their long-term commitments to sustainability and equity while providing premium, wellness-focused experiences.

For passengers travelling in the roomy Delta One suites, they’ll discover new artisan-made amenity kits produced by Mexican apparel brand Someone Somewhere, a certified B corporation.

The amenity kits use regenerated and locally sourced cotton, along with eliminating five plastic items, including zips and packaging. Delta One customers can also sleep comfortably with sustainable bedding made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

You know we love sustainability at Karryon and we’re in love with these changes! With five different designs, we think it’s an excuse to tee up five different trips to the US, no? Each kit includes sustainable products, like Someone Somewhere eye mask, Humble Co bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste and earplugs, plus lip balm and hand cream from Grown Alchemist.

Not only do these kits give us the warm and fuzzies, they also generate jobs for over 250 people in five of Mexico’s most vulnerable states. Once you have a kit in your hands, you can even scan a QR code to find out more about the artisan who created it!
