Star Alliance is extending its customers’ Amsterdam vacations by opening a locally-inspired premium lounge at the city’s International Airport Schiphol.
Located in Departures 2, Schengen Area on the Panorama terrace level, the new lounge is described by Star Alliance’s Christian Draeger as offering a “state-of-the-art” experience thanks to its modern design infused with the local essence of Amsterdam.
How exactly did Star Alliance capture the essence of the Dutch city?
Well, inside flyers will find a contemporary design inspired by the ever-changing Dutch skies and landscapes, while furniture creations and designs are pieces of original Dutch design.
Complimenting Amsterdam’s inspiration, the lounge offers free wi-fi, a mix of standard and USB power outlets as well as a luggage storage area.
Business travellers can tick off their to-do list at either the work booths or communal work table, and take advantage of printing and scanning facilities.
Leisure travellers can fill their stomachs pre-flight with food and beverage in the dining area, bar area or wine bar, or enjoy a complimentary reading material.
Star Alliance’s Amsterdam lounge is capable of accommodating up to 150 First and Business Class passengers, Star Alliance Gold Card holders and eligible paid lounge members of the Air Canada Maple Leaf Worldwide Club and United Club programmes.
It’s open from 5.30am to 9.30pm.
